In the near future, the film follows Teresa (Brbara Colen), who returns to the home of Bacurau, a village in extraordinary speech from Brazil, to attend her grandmother’s funeral. Upon arrival, Teresa immediately saw a sign that Bacurau was in critical condition. Basic resources were depleted, mobile phone coverage was reduced, drinking water supply was disrupted and a truck with drinking water arrived loaded with bullet holes. It soon became clear that the corrupt government had left the village altogether: not only was Bacurau completely removed from the map, but its citizens were attacked. As a short-term responsibility, residents must arrange regular matches to avoid further damage.
