Rule the roads of the open world Criterion Need for Speed: Most Wanted is an open world racing game developed by Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts. In Most Wanted, you play as an anonymous hero determined to be the most notorious and clever driver to ever rule the streets of Fairhaven. It means beating the competition, outsmarting other drivers, and maneuvering through a messy city at breakneck speeds, all the while keeping your face to the road and earning shame. Most Wanted, the 19th title in the Need for Speed series, is available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation Vita, Wii, iOS and Android. (Wii version, Need For Speed: Most Wanted U, released a year later). EA’s 2012 remake is a love letter remake of the original Need for Speed: Most Wanted made in (function () {(‘review-app-page-desktop’);}); Most Wanted is a fast growing game, even compared to other racing games. The online game is an endless list of professions where you quickly choose your car and jump right into the game. Even the starting line isn’t just a place to spin the wheels; you can ram other cars to force better starting position. In Most Wanted, cars are not just about speed and driving – this Need For Speed: Most Wanted open world race is about exploring and navigating the open world. Fairhaven is a beautiful map of winding streets, somersaults, royal architecture and dirty back streets. The contrast is especially noticeable when driving between the quiet beach and the narrow industrial area. Branching paths open the way to memorable non-linear races inspired by the visual variety of Need for Speed - well-placed jumps and shortcuts too. The multiplicity of the game increases the variety of cars, each of which finds its strengths in a different environment. The street that slowed you down and lost the race early in the game could be the key to winning the vehicle ahead of you in the different competition modes Need for Speed: Most Wanted offers four types of game modes: fast racing, track racing, sprint races and ambush races. Sprinting is most basic, getting from point A to point B as quickly as possible. Speed and circuit racing will put you on the generated track, the latter requires a certain number of turns. Finally, ambush races are all about dodging the police once the most wanted races for the title are the most memorable – high octane circular circuits and the police ambushed. If you win them you will have the chance to chase your rivals, steal their place in the top ten and reward yourself with their car. The stakes are high in these fast-paced scenarios and they make the game the best in other racing games. Like Burnout Paradise EA, Most Wanted has its fair share of realism in offering licensed cars and its focus on urban traffic. It’s much less realistic than a game like Assetto Corsa though, preferring cinematic flair over immersion. Yet the result is a hybrid experience that combines the winning elements of arcade racing with openness and customization masterfully represented. The essence of good is playing. The vehicles are varied enough to keep the experience fresh, and each vehicle is different enough so thatplayers can question their decisions. The drift controls are intuitive and using the handbrake (which relies heavily on) feels engaging and logical. Winning Events offers you new customization options such as tire configurations, an improved chassis and the all-important Nitro, the racing star on an open world playing field. Running in the same style, integrating the police to ramp up the chaos and tension to eleven. Like Burnout Paradise, Most Wanted is set in a wide open world and offers competitive online play for those who dare to try their luck, it is now simplified. The biggest change from EA’s other driver, Burnout Paradise, is that 2012’s Most Wanted eliminated car accidents. While this may disappoint some, it was done to speed up the experience and focus more on the race than the show. However, the cars will still be damaged. The multiplayer experience has also been optimized by providing the ability to log in and out through the Easydrive menu system.
